"Good Value"

We stayed here after purchasing a Groupon, so didn't know what to expect. We were very pleased with what we got for our money.

It is in walking distance to Patong for drinks and restaurants etc, but its quite a walk and not for the unfit as the climb to the resort up their driveway is very steep, they do supply regular free shuttles however.

Breakfast was supplied as part of our deal and this was fine as we only stayed one week any longer and I feel it would get abit repetitive. The dinners we had the odd time were fine and well priced.

The rooms although a little tired, supplied a purpose and were keeped clean each day by housekeeping, the beds were a little hard but you can ask for a thicker underly which they supply. Staff were very friendly.

The spa massage was very good. the pool bar was great and much fun had there with wait-staff.

"FANTASTIC place with FRIENDLY SMILING staff :)"

After reading numerous negative reviews before I left I was somewhat apprehensive about staying at the Baan Yuree Resort & Spa....however my experience at the resort was AMAZING and I cannot understand where these complaints have come from.

The staff were so friendly and always smiling. Helpful staff welcomed us to the Resort on Day 1 and continued to be of great assistance the entire 7 day stay.

The room was great and kept clean by friendly housekeeping daily. The beds are hard, however this was a consistent experience all through my travels over Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, so not a fault of the Resort.

The food was delicious and very well priced. Room service was a great option after a long day exploring nearby attractions. Breakfast was tasty and there was a good variety of options.

The pool is beautiful and well looked after by staff. The pool bar is staffed by exceptionally friendly characters who make it an even more relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The tours desk was SO helpful with booking our day trips. The lady who helped us was so polite and helpful, she even stayed after she was meant to finish to book us a tour for the next morning.

The courtesy shuttle is a great service provided by the resort and they are more than happy to make a second trip back if the first shuttle is full.

And as for the infamous hill....unless you're climbing the hill in the heat of the day with ALL your luggage after your 'taxi driver' drops you at the bottom....its really not THAT bad! Trust me! And a tuk tuk from the beach or shopping centre will only cost about 200 baht, really not that much if you can't make the walk up the hill.

I REALLY enjoyed my stay at Baan Yuree Resort and Spa and would DEFINITELY recommend it to others! :)

"Great Place for Friends"

Truly Enjoyed this hotel on my first trip to Phuket with friends.. We got two rooms and one of it was a double bed instead of twin sharing as requested but the issue was cleared up almost immediately by assigning a new room. Location is not too bad, just on the outskirts of the city's hustle n bustle so you get a nice quiet area while being just a few minutes away from patong beach. Best way to enjoy it would be to rent a scooter (the hotel has a few of their own brand new scooters which are great). Take a ride across phuket and explore the various beaches there. The hotel's location is just about in the middle of phuket coast so you could get a good ride to the north or south with a break in your own room. Did not try the food there so I would not know but the street food down the hotel is good enough.

I stayed here with7 friends and only booked for a few nights but was so good we stayed for 7 nights! The staff are so friendly..there is a bus that takes you into the main street and will puck you up as well, there is a timetable and easy to use. The rooms are great and the pool is FAB! me and the girsl loved having a few cocktails in the pool bar....and being the only ones there (just before peak season i think) we had the place to ourselves almost so we were pumping the music at the pool bar! Was a lovely place to stay with my friends and would definetly recommend this place! :-)

"Great value for money"

We loved Baan Yuree. We got our deal off the internet and we couldnt have had a better experience for the price. many qualities of the place that are better than more expensive places we have stayed in.

The room was spacious. Bigger than the 4 1/2 star we stayed in when in penang. The bed is huge and quite firm which my husband liked. The room is clean and bathroom lovely. Shower door didnt shut properly so water leaked out on the floor. No bath. Air con good. it leaked one night so a maintenance man was called and immediately fixed it. Balcony view on ground floor is just a brick wall but we had a room right off the pool which was handy. The outdoor furniture is pretty bad just plastic chairs but we saw that alot in Thailand. There was a couple of break-ins in the rooms whilst we were there. Luckily not our room. They increased security after that.Tour organising is very easy and transfer to and from the main shopping and beach is very easy. We did the walk up the hill a few times and it is fairly easy if you are active. The shop down the hill sells everything you need and we bought some alcohol from there and kept it in the fridge. The best thing about baan Yuree is the pool. We mostly had it to ourselves during our stay. It was very clean. The room service food is great and very cheap. Some of the staff were not very cheerful or friendly but others were. TV nice but poor reception and only one channel that is english language but we werent in our room much. You have to pay for hire of DVD player.

Its a nice place for families. we had a massage which was nice and only ate in the restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast was good but not 5 star of course. I loved the freshly made omelet. Many aussies, Brits, chinese, rushian staying there.

Free Wifi in lobby excellent we brought our own laptop. In the room it doesnt access the internet very easily
Cocktails very strong and cheap.
Would recommend if you are not expecting 5 star.

"Great Hotel"

Stayed here recently on a coupon deal along with all the other Australian and New Zealand guests!

I can't really complain about anything! Was a great valued holiday.

  • The staff were great, always friendly and nothing too much trouble.
  • The buffet breakfast is good value for money, could have a little more variety but it was fine.
  • Room service/pool food was great, pool bar was really good with good priced cocktails.
  • The pool is a nice design, with the 3 split levels, lower level usually occupied by families and kids and the top level having the pool bar. The pool is well positioned in a full sun position all day.
  • Great having the free shuttle bus to town - used every day. Had a few fun trips back up the steep hill with a fully packed bus but hey - your own holiday! It all adds to the fun of it and it's nice the hotel is away from the madness of Bangra Road and downtown Patong.
  • Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had a nice room with on the 5th floor with a great view across to the water.

Would recommend to family and friends and would definitely stay again.
Room Tip: Level 5 with a view over the water

"Great Hotel"

I was a bit worried about the hotel from some of the reviews but I need not have. We had a Scoopon deal and we had arranged an upgrade to poolside rooms which was confirmed on our vouchers from the Hotel however Owen on the desk wanted to dispute this and caused us all sorts of stress. Finally after having to show emails from the hotel to us confirming our upgrade along with their own check in vouchers they agreed we should be in poolside rooms. This came with a but, my room wouldn't be ready until 5pm and our friends couldn't have their room until the next day but could have another room for the night.

The General manager made up for the rudeness of Owen and gave us our upgrade for free in the end for all our trouble and we were happy with that. This was not the best hotel I have stayed in but it is a lot better than others.

In the end our rooms were great, big clean and next to the pool. I found the bathrooms standard for Asia, they all come with a bit of mould. Nice flat screen TVs and you could hire a DVD player if you wanted. Love the different towel animals each day.

Breakfast was good, not as much variety as most Asia hotels but what they had was very good. You got the standard, toast, baked beans, eggs, bacon, French toast, potato dish, cereal, fruit and juice. They did run out a lot in the 9.00am rush but the food was quickly replenished. WE ate dinner a couple of times in the restaurant and was reasonably priced and the food was good.

Can highly recommend the Naughty Friday Night Out run by the hotel. Great value for money, safety in numbers and just great fun. A drink is included at each venue and the first venue you can get 5 shots of tequila for 100 Baht ($3.50aus).

We also did the Monday night quiz night and come equal first with two other teams, great prizes from Phi Phi Island trips, massages and 3 day motorbike hire.

It rained on the Wednesday night they have the BBQ so we gave it a miss but on a good night i am sure this would be great.

The pool is great and happy hour is from 1-2pm. Only criticism is I wanted a pool umbrella and the staff wouldn't get it so I had to go down the steps and get it myself. Room service and pool food service is reasonably priced and the hamburgers are really good.

Make sure you are early for the hotel shuttle as it fills up quickly. Most days they had to use 2 vans or make 2 trips.
99% of the guests are Aussies which was great, we also had a few Kiwi's as well.
My advice is triple check your booking and take printouts of any correspondence with the hotel for proof and you should have no problems.

I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again. Yes the hotel is on a hill but so are many others, I don't understand the issue. Room Tip: do yourself a favour and upgrade to poolside, just make sure you confirm it.

"Peaceful and Pleasent Stay"

Our stay was the longest here for 5 nights. We had a good time at this place. Booked this hotel long time back, but the reviews in last 2 months made us worry.

Now to start with I can harldly find any negative things to comment about this place, I dont understand why the reviewers have talked so bad about this place. Its personal opinion though.

The hotle looks exactly the same as shown in the pictures, rooms are big and clean. Maintained & cleaned daily by the staff. Though some housekeeping the staff takes time to understand english they definately help you out. Aftersll do we go there to sit and chit chat with hotel staff and share our life stories?

There is one lady at the reception desk who understand s english and helps out if neede. The internet is absolutely free and the shuttle servie comes handy. Walk from patong beach is just 15 mins which is hardly any distance when walking thru all the busy areas.

Now about the steep hill, yes its steep and a bit tiring to walk up. Old people and people with knee problems should rethink before booking this place. Also a run/jog to the beach in the morning is also very refreshing. The restaurant is empty all the time but let me tell you we had realy good lunch there twice. The Thai Green Curry and Phad Thai was awesome. Breakfast is same at all the hotels.

We hired a bike from the hotel, its a bit expensive but ouside we need to give a high deposit or original passports, so this was a good option. The bikes are good and well maintained. And nobody encourages you if you cannot drive, tehy are extra careful and ask you to take precautions. And yes beds are not as hard as bricks, they are comfortable. Overall a good stay and a good place. We enjoyed our stay here.
Room Tip: Take sea view rooms and pool side ones

"Excellence Service, Clean and Comfy"

Chose this hotel based on the good reviews here. Got us a deluxe room with green/low season price (Late October).

The hotel itself is excellent and beautiful with 3 pools. It's located on high ground on Sirirat Road, which is the road to Karon beach from Patong. It's quite a distance to the beach or happening areas like Bang-La road or Jungceylon, but it'll be a plus if you like a quiet night because If you leave your room's balcony slide-doors open at 12.00am-2.00am, you can still hear the noises from the pubs/bars! Please note that it will be some hike, if you're planning to get to the hotel by foot (We did, upon check-in).

The hotel provide free shuttle service to Patong Beach/Jungceylon/Bang-La Road and back, hourly; start from 10.00am to 11.00pm. They did give us a lift to the 7-11 and Family Mart outside of transfer schedule for free!

The staff is sincerely friendly without being overbearing. Providing all the help and services they can offer. Always asking if we need a lift every time we left the hotel on foots. Top-notch staff!

The room (Deluxe) we got is spacious and well-maintained. Clean bathroom, bathtub, , and comfy bed. The room is well-decorated with enough furniture for a long stay. Comfy bed with quiet yet effective air-conditioning give us a good night sleep.

Overall, there's nothing to complain about this hotel, location is arguably good ( A bit far from Patong happening area but quiet at night and made up with excellent free shuttle service), excellent service and staff , nice pools, clean and comfy room. The price is good for the green/low season. Would definitely recommend this place.
